KEU: A Kaleidoscope for the Streets
Services:Art Installation
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Year: 2015
Note: A project from an earlier chapter within the former Visual Skin.

Unity in Motion
KEU (Kaleidoscope Europe) was a large-scale, inverted kaleidoscope first created for Amsterdam Light Festival 2015. In 2016, it made its Romanian debut as part of Spotlight Festival Bucharest, placed right on Calea Victoriei.
Operated by three people or by the wind, KEU was part sculpture, part urban toy. Its ever-changing, multicoloured display reflected a bigger idea: connection across differences. At its core, the work celebrated friendship, openness, and shared experience regardless of background, belief, orientation or identity.
Visitors were invited to grab the handles, ask strangers to do the same, and rotate the piece together. It wasn’t just about what you saw, but how you saw it—with others.
